The Paintings of Steven Kozar

Steven Kozar teaches a fascinating, informative and fun one-day class with just a dozen students at a time. These workshops are held right in his home/studio in McFarland (Madison suburb). Steven really loves to teach, and he'll share a lot of his thoughts and techniques from his 25 years of painting experience. Cost for the workshop is $85 for the whole day; which includes a home-made lunch! Here's what some of his students say:
"My experience at Steve Kozar's workshop was positive in every way. Steve knows how to communicate and how to inspire. He shares his knowledge of technique and artistic approach clearly and enthusiastically, and respects each student, their level of experience and their own individual approach. I would recommend working with Steve to anyone, beginner, intermediate, advanced or professional."
"Thanks for offering the workshop. After I signed up, I was a little anxious, thinking that maybe I got into something over my head. Thankfully the workshop was casual, relaxed, and extremely useful, even for a novice like me. The best part was seeing how you create detail without gimmicks, something that no one else even seems to teach, not to mention the paper and brush recommendations. Thanks again, I'm looking forward to practicing the new techniques."
"I learned more from your workshop than all my other workshops combined!"
"Thank you again for having that class, I've learned more about color than any book has taught me. If I had known it was that easy to understand I wouldn't have been so afraid of it."
"Thank you for for so generously sharing so many of your hard-earned techniques. I don't know if you realize how much you have freed me to joyously paint in my own style. Thanks to you, I'm no longer afraid of the 'Art Police'."
Some of the questions Steve will address in this class:
If you really want to paint better, this is your chance!
About half of class time will be spent watching Steve do various demonstrations, and the other half will be students doing painting exercises and getting their paintings critiqued in a non-threatening environment.
